Amazing: Rinaldo finishes as Real Madrid's 2018 Top scorer despite leaving six months into the year

Cristiano Ronaldo may have already left Real Madrid but his shadow continues to linger at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Portuguese played for the Blancos for nine years but ended his association with the club last summer.Having completed a mega-move to Juventus, Ronaldo has not looked back at all. The 33-year-old is still enjoying his football and has netted 14 Serie A goals for the Old Lady. This is a return that puts him top of the scoring chart in the Italian topflight.Although some of the Real Madrid players have often said that the club does not miss Ronaldo, results have proven otherwise.
In fact, the Portuguese still managed to finish the year as top scorer of Madrid with 28 goals despite leaving the club six months ago. Some weeks ago when he spoke about his departure, Ronaldo said he felt he wasn’t valued enough by Florentino Perez and the club.
“I felt it inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer considered me the same way that they did in the start,” the Portuguese said, as quoted by the Guardian.“In the first four or five years there I had the feeling of being ‘Cristiano Ronaldo’. Less afterwards. The president looked at me through eyes that didn’t want to say the same thing, as if I was no longer indispensable to them, if you know what I mean.“That’s what made me think about leaving. Sometimes I’d look at the news, where they were saying I was asking to leave. There was a bit of that but the truth is I always had the impression the president would not hold me back. If it had all been about money, I’d have moved to China, where I would have earned five times as much than here [at Juventus] or at Real. I did not come to Juve for the money. I earned the same in Madrid, if not more. The difference is that, at Juve, they really wanted me. They told me that and made it clear.” They showed me that.”
Ronald top-scored for Madrid in 2018 with 28 goals, while Gareth Bale managed 27, with Benzema following in that order with 18 goals.

More woes for Solskjaer as Man Utd were humiliated by Everton

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in February that life as a Manchester United player has to be survival of the fittest. “You have seen what I have chosen, I have chosen that we need to play as a Man Utd team and if you want to be a part of Man Utd, it’s survival of the fittest isn’t it?” But their humiliating 4-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday only served to underline just how far off the pace this current United squad really is and all-but ensured there will be no surviving the race to reach the top four. On energy and enthusiasm they were fifth or sixth in a two-horse race. In a season which has thrown up plenty of opportunities to question just how bad things can get, this was the worst of the lot. Richarlison had already tested David de Gea before volleying home unmarked on 13 minutes, and the United keeper was then slow to react as Gylfi Sigurdsson made it 2-0 from distance after Nemanja Matic had been laboured in dealing with the Icelandic midfielder. Lucas Digne belted home a ...

The announcement was made by the club in a short statement that thanked the former Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid manager for his work and confirmed that a caretaker manager would be put in charge until the end of the 2018/19 season. The 65-word statement read, "Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect. A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, f...

Liverpool 5 Arsenal 1: Liverpool handles Arsenal with an iron hand as Fermino scores hat-trick

Liverpool thrashed Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday, as Roberto Firmino scored his first Premier League hat-trick. Roberto Firmino was at his ruthless best as he scored his first Premier League hat-trick to inspire a 5-1 demolition of Arsenal at Anfield and put Liverpool nine points clear at the summit after Tottenham's defeat to Wolves. The visit of Unai Emery's men was seen as a potentially troublesome fixture, but the Reds made light work of them, with all of their revered front three finding the net in a devastating performance. A chaotic five-minute spell in the first half saw Ainsley Maitland-Niles put Arsenal ahead, before a quickfire Firmino brace turned the score around. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah ensured a rampant Liverpool went into the break 4-1 up. Liverpool's pressure did not subside after half-time and Firmino completed his treble from the spot 25 minutes from time, rounding off a miserable day for the Gunners and increasing the heat on Manchester Cit...

Real Madrid wins club world cup

Real Madrid players celebrating their victory Santiago Solari celebrated his first trophy as Real Madrid's coach with a 4-1 defeat of Al Ain in the Club World Cup final. Luka Modric's wonderful goal helped seal Club World Cup history as Real Madrid beat Al Ain 4-1 to become the first team to win the tournament three years in a row. Santiago Solari's first silverware since being appointed as Julen Lopetegui's successor was set up by Modric's first-half strike as Madrid comfortably triumphed in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, moving past rivals Barcelona with their fourth title in the competition.

Breaking- United sacks Mourinho

Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect," a statement read. "The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future. "A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager." Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal in the United hotseat in the summer of 2016 and was tasked with leading the 20-time English champions back to the top of the domestic game after a barren three years since Sir Alex Ferguson's appointment. He started well, winning the Community Shield in his first match in charge before claiming the League Cup thanks to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired 3-2 win over Southampton. Form in the league was not as strong, however, with the Red Devils only able to finish in sixth place, though their season did end on a high as a 2-...

Mourinho is the best coach you can imagine_ Hazard

Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, has said he would like to work with Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho again. Hazard and other Chelsea players and the manager fell out in their third season together at Stamford, with the Belgium star enduring the worst campaign of his career. Mourinho was also sacked midway through the season by Chelsea owner. Mourinho is currently enduring another difficult third season at Manchester United. Speaking about Mourinho, Hazard told Belgian newspaper HLN, “The last season under Mourinho was not pleasant anymore, we didn’t win, we got into a sort of routine, training-training without having fun, it was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end. “But if I’m now asked one coach with whom I want to work again, then I say: Mourinho. “If the results are poor, he starts criticising his players – you know that, but afterwards I’ve been able to accept that, it’s part of his character. “If you win, Mourinho is the best coach you can im...

Leicester City breaks 18 years record at Stamford bridge

For the first time since 2000, Leicester City can celebrate a Premier League win at Chelsea, who slipped to a 1-0 defeat. Jamie Vardy scored on his 250th Leicester City appearance as the Foxes ended an 18-year wait for a Premier League win at Chelsea in a 1-0 triumph. The former England striker had been starved of service until clinically finishing a brilliant Leicester counter early in the second half, which ultimately proved enough to clinch a first win at Stamford Bridge since 2000. This is actually a big blow for the blues after Crystal Palace defeated Manchester City in another premier league match. A win for Chelsea would have reduced the point margin among the top four clubs.

Hazard scores his century goal for Chelsea as they defeat Watford

Eden Hazard's opener against Watford was his 100th goal for Chelsea in all competitions and it is another moment where the £32 million signing from Lille has written his name into the Stamford Bridge club's history. Latching on a Mateo Kovacic pass, Hazard's century for Chelsea was a trademark effort as he rounded Ben Foster and struck home into the empty net. The goal allowed a celebration of a six-and-a-half year love story between the Belgian and his fanbase in west London. Roberto Pereyra equalised with a wonderful first-time volley straight from a corner at Vicarage Road, but Hazard came out on top by winning and then scoring a penalty to reach 101 goals. He has gone from one of the world's most entertaining players to one of the world's most decisive players. His strike rate is massively up this season with 12 goals already this season. The numbers leave it very likely that we will see Hazard break the 20-goal mark for the first time in a single season a...

I don't know about Pulisic's signing: Sarri

The Blues boss admitted he was unaware the transfer would go through, despite giving a positive assessment of the American a month ago. Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has admitted he was in the dark over the club's signing of Christian Pulisic. The American was brought in on a £58 million (€64m/$73m) deal on Wednesday, and then loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season. Despite the Blues splashing out the third highest transfer fee in their history for the 20-year-old, the Italian said he was unsure if the deal would go through. Sarri did say, however, that he had been consulted on the transfer around a month before the move went through. “I didn’t know anything about [signing] Pulisic yesterday," Sarri told the BBC following Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Southampton on Wednesday. "They asked my opinion about him one month ago. My opinion was positive and today I knew that the deal is done but I didn’t know anything." The Italian reiterat...

"It's a bad dream"- Sala's father finally react after missing aircraft was found

Premier League star, Emiliano Sala’s father, Horacio Sala, has said he has remained in shock after the missing plane carrying his son was found. He also said that it was “a bad dream” hearing the news of the missing plane. DAILY POST had reported that the wreckage of the aircraft which disappeared over the English Channel in January, carrying the Cardiff City striker and his pilot was found on Sunday. A privately-funded underwater search had begun on Sunday, several days after investigators said they found two seat cushions on the French coast that likely belonged to the aircraft. Sala was travelling from Nantes to the Welsh capital to join his team-mates following his £15million move when his plane went missing over the English Channel on January 21. Sala’s plane was lost from the radar as it crossed the English Channel and the 28-year-old is now feared dead. “I can’t believe it. It’s a bad dream,” Horacio Sala told Cronica TV at his home in Progreso when contacted that his ...
